Tim Kaufmann - A Celebration of Life...

Tim is a 1974 graduate of St. Catherine of Alexandria parish in Oak Lawn where he was born and raised. He’s also a 1978 graduate of Brother Rice High School where he played soccer and was the team goalie for the Catholic League all star team in 1978. Tim was one of the original coaches for the St. Catherine youth soccer program. Tim is a 25 year veteran of the Cook County Sheriff’s Department having worked in various duties from Patrol to Investigations. The following is an example of Tim’s dedication to be there for others in their time of need. Immediately after the 911 tragedy, Tim left the comfort of his home and family to join a group of officer’s who traveled to New York City to work beside their fellow public servants and support them in their grief on the loss of all the fallen brother’s and sister’s at ground zero.

Tim and his family have resided in Evergreen Park for the past 20 years. He is married to Carol McCollom Kaufmann, a Nurse at Little Company of Mary Hospital. Tim and Carol have five children four of whom are between the ages of 12 and 17 years old. Tim has touched the lives of many people both personally and professionally. This past year Tim was diagnosed with inoperable brain cancer. Tim has fought a courageous battle. One of Tim’s most outstanding qualities is his quick wit and never ending sense of humor. He never misses an opportunity to make others laugh even when we know he’s in pain. Throughout his life he has always been there for others and we want him to know we are here for him. A group of Tim’s family and friend’s have decided to get together to raise money which will help support the future educational needs of Tim’s children and help to pay the medical expenses not covered by insurance. We are hoping you will join us in supporting Tim.
